Bienvenidos!
The link is dead, I am hoping to make a webring with some folks so its here for now.
Top three books from the last year:
Basically, I've had enough. I am hopelessly addicted to content. I spend hours and hours killing the light behind my eyes watching video essays and reaction streamers on youtube, or I am foraging for memes on instagram to send to my couple of friends I never see and my significant other. While meandering through longform videos one day I encountered one of these talking heads spitting a different message, that we could set ourselves apart from these corporate skinner boxes of dopamine exploitation and engage in meaningful creative expression on our own terms. The medium was Neocities, She was describing the tiny web, the last vestiges of the old web. I was instantly enamored with the concept. Let this be the beginning our our rennaisance friends. I would love to see your art, even if it doesn't have that mandatory spit polish thats required for the mainstream channels like instagram. I wanna read your choose your own adventure story about a corn witch holding a town hostage with evil maize magic, (PS you need a gemini browser to open that link as far as I know)
The tiny web might not have the same ease of use, but I think in that way it is so much more rewarding an experience. Finding someone's hand crafted site, complete with all their obsessions and the gems they have gathered and put on display is so much more satisfying than the infinite scroll.
for now. this site is going to be pretty simple, If I think of it I will be back to add some links to fun games and creative resources that I have found in my travels. I intend to start creating some of my own material and posting my physical art too.
Don't give up skeleton.
